The entire situation ruined not only my night but my fiancée and friends' night, and I think HandleBar should seriously consider hiring bartenders and officers who do not disrespect patrons in such a manner. I fully cooperated with their requests and still was not allowed to talk or defend myself or speak in any way. I not only didn't do what I was accused of doing, I was also grabbed by someone else, and had no chance to defend myself against someone else's random, false accusation.I am utterly appalled by the bartender and police officers' lack of judgment in the situation. I have video proof of one of their inappropriate conduct once I was brought to the parking lot.As white male, I can't imagine what it is like for minorities who are faced with the same situation. The bartender calls the two officers (Badge Numbers 95) who pull me out of the bar without questioning and don't let me step back on the property to try and contact my fiancée and friend group at all. Not a few seconds later, I was accused by a patron for grabbing people's bottoms and it was brought to the attention of the bartender at the time. Last night, however, I was standing in line at the patio bar around 11:30pm trying to get my fiancée and myself a drink when someone came up behind me and grabbed my bottom. The program is TBC, however, so stay tuned.įor an unforgettable experience in Boogie Wonderland, mark your calendar and spend early August deep in the heart of Texas, disco dancing at Austin Pride.I enjoy going to this place and have generally had a good time.
